TOKYO, May 29, 2026 – Ricoh Company, Ltd. today announced that the Ricoh Group will hold Ricoh Global SDGs Action Month 2026 throughout June as part of its efforts to align ESG with business growth and help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Guided by the theme “Understand Ricoh's new materiality and take action,” the 2026 program will help employees connect the material issues newly defined under Ricoh's Mid-Term Management Strategy '26 with their daily work and translate that understanding into concrete action.
Ricoh launched the program in 2006 as Global Eco Action, an annual June program centered on World Environment Day on June 5. In 2019, Ricoh renamed it to Ricoh Global SDGs Action and expanded its scope to encourage employees worldwide to take action on a broader range of environmental and social issues, ultimately reflecting a longstanding commitment Ricoh made 50 years ago when it established its Environmental Promotion Section in 1976.
“Each individual action, when combined, becomes a powerful force that contributes to a sustainable society based on the Three Ps Balance and enhances corporate value,” Ricoh President and CEO Akira Oyama said in a global internal message marking the launch of Ricoh Global SDGs Action Month 2026, underscoring the program's purpose, highlighting ESG's role in Ricoh's management and Mid‑Term Management Strategy '26, and reaffirming its vision for a sustainable society where Planet, People and Prosperity are harmoniously balanced. Oyama also added, “By working together across the Ricoh Group to align ESG with business growth, we will help our customers and employees realize fulfillment through work.”
