Regarding the impact of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake

TOKYO, January 5, 2024 – The Ricoh Group offers its deepest condolences and sympathies to those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake in Japan on January 1, 2024.

We sincerely hope for the safety and well-being of those affected by this unfortunate disaster, and the Ricoh Group is committed to contributing to the earliest possible restoration and recovery of the affected areas.

The Ricoh Group has a few sites in the affected areas: the Headquarter of PFU Limited and PFU Techno Wise Limited (Kahoku City, Ishikawa Prefecture), branches of Ricoh Japan Corporation, and a toner plant of Ricoh Company, Ltd. in Fukui Prefecture. All Ricoh Group colleagues and their families in those areas are safe with no serious injuries. The followings are the current Ricoh's operational status in the areas:

  1. PFU Group (Kahoku City, Ishikawa Prefecture)

    There is no major damage to the buildings and production facilities. We are working on recovery measures to ensure that customers are not affected.

  2. Ricoh Japan Corporation (Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata Prefecture)

    On-site support by branches in Ishikawa Prefecture, such as equipment repairs at customers' sites, has been cancelled or delayed. Delivery of equipment and consumables has also been suspended or delayed.
    In Toyama and Niigata prefectures, there may also be delays in on-site support such as equipment repairs and in delivery of equipment and consumables to customers.

  3. Ricoh Fukui Plant (Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture)

    There is no damage to the buildings, and operating as usual.

Ricoh once again wishes for a swift recovery and will take its efforts based on the founding principles, the Spirit of Three Loves to “Love your neighbor, Love your country, Love your work.”
