RICOH THETA S Chosen as a Finalist at US-based IDEA 2016

TOKYO, August 18, 2016 -Ricoh's 360-degree camera, the "RICOH THETA S", was chosen as a finalist at US-based IDEA 2016 (International Design Excellence Awards).

 

The RICOH THETA S is a high-end model of the "RICOH THETA" series, 360-degree cameras that can capture fully spherical scenes surrounding the photographer. The latest in the RICOH THETA series offer significant improvements in performance, such as capturing 360-degree still images and video in higher quality with the addition of live view functionality. It also inherits the design of the original devices that won multiple design awards.

 

The IDEA Awards, presented by the Industrial Designers Society of America, are one of the most prestigious awards in the United States, and highly regarded internationally. IDEA 2016 received more than 1,700 entries from the nations around the world, with assessment based on multiple criteria including the innovation, functionality and environmental friendliness of each design.
