Conservation of Biodiversity

As indicated in Ricoh's Environmental Principles, introduced in 1992, the Ricoh Group does not see environmental conservation activities and business management as two incompatible issues.Instead, we see conservation of the global environment as a natural responsibility as a global citizen.

We are promoting forest ecosystem conservation projects around the world in partnership with environmental NPOs and local communities.

Restoration of Boa Nova Lowland Tropical Forests

We support a project to restore Boa Nova Lowland Tropical Forests in Bahia, Brazil, which are habitats for rare wildlife.

Afan Woodland Conservation Project

We support the Afan Woodland Conservation Project in Kurohime, Nagano Prefecture in Japan.

For conserving the global environment, we believe it is important for each staff member to carry out activities spontaneously inside and outside the company, maintaining an awareness of being a global citizen.Based on this belief, we have started the Environmental Volunteer Leader Development Program since 1999 as a part of our staff training.
