Ricoh Recognized by CDP as a Leading Company in Climate Change Disclosure

Tokyo, October 15, 2014—Ricoh Company, Ltd. (President and CEO: Zenji Miura) has been recognized as an outstanding company in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) for the high-quality climate change data it has disclosed to stakeholders, including investors, through CDP, the international NGO that drives sustainable economies. Ricoh has scored 98 points in the disclosure score, which indicates the level of information disclosure. It was included in the 28 companies (the top 10%) that achieved a disclosure score of 97 or more from among the companies that responded to the questionnaire within 500 large Japanese companies in the FTSE Japan Index that were examined.


Ricoh actively takes measures to prevent global warming, with a target of an 87.5% reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions (compared to the year 2000) in the total lifecycle of the Ricoh Group by 2050 under the 2050 Long-Term Environmental Vision. As for the disclosure of information regarding environmental management, which aims to simultaneously achieve environmental conservation and profit.Ricoh also endeavors to provide accurate environmental information that is useful to all stakeholders in a fair, comprehensible, and sustainable manner.
