The RICOH Eco Business Development Center was established as part of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Ricoh’s foundation. It is built on the site of the previous Ricoh Gotemba Office, which was originally established in 1985 as a production site mainly for photocopiers and printers. As it had been disused since 2013, we renovated the site in order to use it to best advantage as "a site for the development of eco-related business."
Ricoh has long been working tirelessly under the concept of sustainable environmental management, whereby environmental preservation is pursued simultaneously with profit making. We have further refined this concept to pursue "sustainable environmental management that evolves together with our customers and business partners." In addition to routinely offering eco-friendly products, we also seek to contribute to build a sustainable society through engaging in eco business across an expansive area extending beyond conventional business domains, working together with our customers, business partners, and various parties in the local community.
The RICOH Eco Business Development Center will play an important role in achieving Ricoh’s future eco business visions and goals. We look forward to welcoming you at the Center and appreciate your kind support and cooperation in helping us to create new eco business through open innovation under joint collaboration among industry, public institution and academia.
