Easy Rider in the 21st century: TETSUYA MIZUGUCHI

Lifestyle in 2036, imagined by creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, is introduced in seven segments, four from a short story and three from an interview with him. This is the prologue of the story, taking place 20 years from now in 2036. People call autonomous cruising vehicles ‘mobiles’ and are able to move seamlessly in time and space while leading a free-moving life on earth.

It’s 2036, twenty years from now.

Nine more years until Singularity, the time when computer performance starts to exceed human capacity.

Cars are automated with few people driving themselves.

In the past, people used to carry a mobile (phone) in their hands.

In 2036, the number of people that spend time in a ‘mobile’ (moving vehicle: car) has increased.

There is now the tendency for an autonomous cruising vehicle to be called a mobile.

It is installed with various applications.

Cars advanced since 2020 with IoT and transmedia capability and infrastructure, have been changed for the smart grid. The number of free-moving people living without any limitation on earth is increasing.
