Using RICOH Smart Device Connector through wireless direct connection

To use the Wireless Direct function on an MFP/printer with Smart Operation Panel, it is also necessary to configure the following settings:

1Log in as the network administrator.

2Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center, or the [Home] key.

3Open the [Control Panel: Wireless LAN] or [WIRELESS & NETWORKS] screen.

The procedure varies depending on the machine you are using.

  1. Flick the screen to the left or right, and then press [Settings].

  2. Press [System Settings].

  3. Press [Network/Interface].

  4. Press [Control Panel: Wireless LAN].

  1. Flick the screen to the left or right, and then press [User Tools] or [Settings].

  2. Press [Screen Features] or [Screen Features Settings].

  3. Press [WIRELESS & NETWORKS].

4Press [Wireless Direct Settings].

5Select [ON].

6Set wireless connection mode to Group Owner Mode.

Select [On] in this mode. To connect from a smart device, enter the SSID and password.

7Return to the [Network/Interface] or [Wireless Direct Settings] screen.

8Press [Control Panel: Port Forwarding] or [Port Forwarding to Machine].

9Press [Port Forwarding] or [Port Forwarding Settings].

10Check that [Port Forwarding] is active.

11Press [OK].

12Log out.
