DJSI, compiled by Dow Jones and RobecoSAM Group, was the first global sustainability index to assess a company's corporate sustainability from the economic, environmental and social developments aspects. Its process is considered to be among the most rigorous in terms of the number of questions and depth of information requested.

This year, DJSI reviewed about 2,500 companies around the world, selecting only 317 companies to the DJSI World Index. Ricoh was recognized as a sustainability leader in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics industry. In this industry 7 companies including Ricoh were selected out of 30 nominations. As well as being added to DJSI World Index, Ricoh was also included in the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index.
