TOKYO, April 20, 2017 －Ricoh and Ricoh Imaging announced that the PENTAX KP was selected the BEST APS-C DSLR EXPERT by the prestigious Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
TIPA has a worldwide membership of 29 photo and imaging magazines from 14 countries across five continents. TIPA also has a cooperative agreement with the Camera Journal Press Club of Japan. This year the ceremony to present the winning companies with the TIPA trophies will be held in Tokyo, Japan on Friday, 16 June 2017.

BEST APS-C DSLR EXPERT: PENTAX KP
The Pentax KP is a weather resistant and dustproof camera with a 24.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor with no low pass filter. The camera offers an unheard of ISO (819,200), a Pixel Shift Resolution System, and AA filter moiré reduction technology. There is a built in five-axis shake reduction system and a tiltable LCD monitor. The KP has two high-speed shutter options: 1/6000 second (mechanical) and 1/24,000 second using the electronic shutter. It offers Full HD video recording and built-in WiFi for use with their Image Sync app. The pentaprism finder offers 100% field of view and the camera can record in both JPEG and 14-bit raw modes.
