Log in as the network administrator.
Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center, or the [Home] key.
Open the [System Settings] screen.
The procedure varies depending on the machine you are using.
Flick the screen to the left or right, and then press [Settings].
Press [System Settings].

Flick the screen to the left or right, and then press [User Tools] or [Settings].
Press [Machine Features] or [Machine Features Settings].
Press [System Settings].
Press [Settings for Administrator] or [Administrator Tools].
Press [Security].
If [Security] is not displayed, press [Next] until [Program / Delete Device Certificate] or [Register/Delete Device Certificate] appears.
Press [Program / Delete Device Certificate] or [Register/Delete Device Certificate].
Check that [Certificate 1] is registered.
Press [Certificate 1].
Press [Register].
Make the necessary settings.
To use the device certificate for S/MIME, PDF Digital Signature, or PDF/A Digital Signature, enter the machine's administrator's e-mail address in the e-mail address setting.
Press [OK].
Press [Exit].
Press [Network/Interface] or [Interface Settings].
Press [Communication Security].
If [Communication Security] is not displayed, press [Next] until [Program / Delete Device Certificate] or [Register/Delete Device Certificate] appears.
Press [Permit SSL/TLS Communication].
If you are using HTTP connection, select [Ciphertext/Cleartext]. If you are using HTTPS connection, select [Ciphertext Priority].
To disable "TLS1.2", "TLS1.1", or "SSL3.0", log in to Web Image Monitor as a network administrator, and then select [Inactive] for the protocol to be disabled under [Device Management] [Configuration] [SSL/TLS]. At least one of these protocols must be enabled. However, do not enable only "SSL 3.0". Data leaks may occur.
Press [OK].
Log out.
