Troubleshooting / Failure diagnosis


[Symptom]

  • A vertical line appears in the LCD, when I take a picture in a strong light.


[Assumed cause]

If you take a picture with a digital camera in a strong light, such as in sunlight or in a direct illumination, a vertical line may appear in the LCD.
This is a noise phenomenon that is caused by a direct or a strong light.

This is a phenomenon specific to digital cameras that have the CCD and it does not a failure of a camera.


If the above steps will not help, there may be something wrong with your camera. Please check the documentation that came with your camera for a service contact. Or find a local contact from the following site.
