[Question] Is there the Macintosh software for my camera?

The following model and Mac OS versions do not require any specific software/driver from RICOH.
The following model supports the USB mass storage connection, which works with the standard USB driver including respective operating systems.

Mac OS versions
Camera model
Mac OS X 10.1.2 - 10.5
Mac OS 9.0 - 9.2.2
GX200
G600
R8
GR DIGITAL II
Caplio R7
Caplio GX100
Caplio R6

Connecting a camera is too simple, with the following method.
  1. Only for the Caplio GX100/R6: Check your camera setting if the USB connection is set to the [Mass storage] (default.)
  2. Connect the camera using a USB cable provided to a USB port of a Macintosh computer.
  3. The camera will automatically appear as a volume in the desktop.
  4. Open the volume, the images will be located in the [100 RICOH] folder.
  5. You can copy the images by drag-and-drop to a folder you like.

* There is no software for the models above available in the ricoh.com website.

The other tips for Macintosh are avilable on the following FAQ.

EDCKB002: After I copy pictuers from a camera to a Macintosh computer, I always find "unmatched file" in playback mode in the camera.

EDCKB003: MacOS X 10.5/10.4 : A camera icon will not appear in the desktop, even if I connected a camera properly.
