CX6 : What is the [Opt. Zoom Super Resolution] feature ?

The super resolution process applies to still images to enhance picture resolution, by performing appropriate image processes to contour parts and to other parts.

The setting for this feature is located at Shooting menu > Opt. Zoom Super Resolution. Available options are, [Weak], [Strong], or [Off]. Default setting is set to [Off].

How to work this ontion at each zoom range

With [Weak] or [Strong] : super resolution applied the range from 28mm ~ 300mm
With [Off] (default) : super resolution will not applied to the optical zoom range, but allied to the Super Resolution zoom range (300mm ~ 600mm)

Note[Memo]

  • If this feature is enabled, processing time will be longer.
  • [Noise Reduction] option is fixed to [Auto].
  • [Sharpness] works with the default setting even if it is changed.
