Ricoh compact digital camera "Caplio GX100" receives gold award
in the prestigious “iF product design award 2008” international competition

The high-performance Caplio GX100* compact camera (introduced April 2007) of Ricoh Co., Ltd., has been awarded an iF gold award in the "iF product design award 2008" competition, which recognizes product design excellence.
The iF product design award is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world, managed by iF International Forum Design GmbH. Not limited to Germany, the competition receives many entries from throughout the world, and the international acclaim that accompanies an iF product design award brings strong global appraisal for the winners.
In 2008, 821 products received iF awards, with 50 products being presented gold awards. The iF gold selection 2008 announcement and presentation ceremony were held in Hannover, Germany, on March 4.

Introduced April 2007, the Caplio GX100 is filled with functions and capabilities to enhance the enjoyment of people who love photographs. Included are a 24mm wide-angle(35mm film camera equivalent) 3x optical zoom lens, a removable LCD viewfinder, easy-to-use manual operation settings, square-format photography functions, etc.
