2 Decide on the focus position

When shooting flowers, focusing on the part that most attracts the photographer's interest is the basic point. But there are also cases where the figure or shape of the whole flower or its appearance can be quite captivating. Here we will introduce focusing techniques for each of the various situations.

3 When shooting a single flower or multiple flowers in a composition with somewhat wide margins, avoid arranging the composition so that the flowers are in the center. You can give the shot a sense of spreading out or of movement if it is arranged with the flower(s) to the left or right and in the top or bottom third of the frame. In such cases the basic idea is to provide wide margins in the direction the flower is facing. If using AF Target, you can focus on the location of your choice.
