Photographs submitted shall be taken with Ricoh digital cameras. Those taken by equipment other than Ricoh digital cameras shall be disqualified. |

Photographs submitted shall be sent in JPEG high quality mode data with a Ricoh digital camera. Please make it sure to retain the EXIF information. A photograph with the EXIF information deleted will be considered invalid. |

| 3. |
Each participant shall submit an application for only one photograph via the form below. (Please do not attempt to make applications by other means.) A second or later application will be invalid even if there were mistaken operations. Expenses such as communications fees required to make applications shall all be borne by the participant. |

| 4. |
Photographs submitted are limited to those taken by the participant himself or herself. They must also be previously unreleased and not planned for release elsewhere. The same or similar photographs submitted to other contests may not be submitted here. (However, the photographs released only on the participant's own website or blog or those participating in the GR BLOG trackback program may be submitted.) |

Copyrighted works and portraits used in photographs submitted shall be those to which participants hold the copyrights or those for which participants have obtained usage approval in advance from the rights holders. If people are included in the subject of any photograph, the participant is asked to, under his or her own responsibility, gain approval from the subject persons in advance or otherwise ensure that right of portrait is not violated. If the subject includes signboards, neon signs, brands, logos, etc., or is judged to violate public order and morals, the application will be invalid. |

Participants shall guarantee that photographs submitted do not violate legal rights such as copyright and portrait right. If legal problems occur in regard to any photograph submitted, the participant shall settle those problems under his or her own responsibility and bear all expenses for that. |

| 7. |
Governing law for the Application Guidelines shall be Japanese law. Any disputes regarding the Application Guidelines shall be under the jurisdiction by settlement of the Tokyo District Court for the first instance. |

| 8. |
With the exception of the winning submissions, the data of the photographs submitted will be deleted within a year. |

| 9. |
The specific month of the calendar in which a winning submission is to appear will be decided by the judges. |

| 10. |
Please understand that participants may not protest the judgment results. |
 |
| 11. |
Ricoh will take the utmost care with photographs submitted, but shall bear no responsibility for accidents should they occur. |
 |
| 12. |
If these Application Guidelines are violated, the participant shall not protest the application being invalidated and the return of prizes presented by Ricoh, even after being chosen as a winner. If the winner is under the age of 20, parent or guardian approval is required for acceptance of prizes. |

| 13. |
The copyrights to a submitted photograph shall belong to the photographer who submitted it. |
 |
| 14. |
Winners shall allow Ricoh to use the winning submissions free of charge for the following purposes: Display as a Ricoh Photo Contest winner in (1) photographic exhibitions held by Ricoh, (2) posters, calendars, collections of works, business reports, and websites of Ricoh and Ricoh Group companies, and (3) public relations material, etc., for Ricoh digital cameras. Winners shall make no claims based on moral rights against Ricoh or any third parties granted permission by Ricoh. |

The participant shall accurately enter information for the items indicated in the application form. Nicknames can be used, but please indicate the desire to use a nickname and enter that nickname. |

The participants' names or nicknames may also be listed for announcement of submissions and winning submissions or when those are printed in catalogs. |

| 17. |
Personal information collected through this contest may be used for contacting participants, listing in announcement of winning submissions, and preparing statistical data only. Personal information shall be managed under appropriate safety measures, and as a rule not disclosed or presented to third parties without the participant's approval. |

| 18. |
Persons working in Ricoh or the Ricoh Group may not make submissions. |
