Bring the details to life.Brilliant 1cm macros
No other digital camera in its class comes this close and clear. Capture details from the astonishing distance of only 1 cm. Or use the tele macro function, which provides the same magnification but allows you to move the camera 4 cm away to keep the shadow from creeping into the shot. The Caplio G4wide also has a built-in flash for shots as close as 9 cm, with no white-out effect.
The Caplio G4wide provides superb color reproduction and incorporates a new image processor that reduces noise and enhances quality for even the largest of prints.
With a 3x optical zoom lens plus a 3.4x digital zoom, the Caplio G4wide provides an amazing 10.2x zoom. This is equivalent to a telephoto range of 28-289 mm on a regular 35 mm film camera.
Auto-bracket allows you to take three individual shots at one time at different exposure settings, while white balance bracket applies tones of red, normal white, and blue to three separate images.
Everything you need in one petite package.Six practical scene modes
The Caplio G4wide offers six practical scene modes: portrait, sports, landscape, night scene, text, and high-sensitivity. In high-sensitivity mode, the screen automatically illuminates subjects to aid in framing the picture in under-lit environments.
Transferring files to a PC couldn't be easier! Simply turn off the camera and link the Caplio G4wide up via a USB cable. The Ricoh Gate software installed on the computer will then instantly start transferring images to an automatically created folder at a rate of three megabytes per second. Mac OS X users can import images with iPhoto while Windows XP users can take advantage of the WIA driver interface.
The front of the camera is clad in aluminum, for a stylishly sophisticated look and feel.
Analyze golf swings and other action sequences by taking advantage of the Caplio G4wide's various continuous modes. In M-continuous mode, with the shutter button held down the camera memorizes the last 16 shots in one file for two seconds of footage. This comes in handy when you are uncertain about the start or finish of a particular action. In S-continuous mode, it can take a series of 16 shots in one file for two seconds of footage with just one press of the shutter button. When reviewing the 16 shots during playback, each frame can be enlarged individually, and you can quickly browse back and forth through all 16 shots to create the feel of an animated movie.
Be the director and capture 120 seconds of AVI video with sound, record convenient "voice memo"" stamps of up to eight seconds to photos taken,or use the Caplio G4wide as a multipurpose voice recorder.
Synchro monitor mode conserves energy by turning the monitor on automatically only when the shutter button is pressed to preview a shot or operate the zoom.
