FAQ for DVD/CD Media

EncryptEase

QUESTION
What kind of driver installed and why?

ANSWER
EncryptEase has its own encryption/decryption software on the disc and it does not rely on the PC environment so it can be used anywhere, anytime.
It is necessary when using "EncryptEase" for the first time, to install drivers on your PC.

The driver is installed for two purposes;
1. To write on the disc
2. To verify the discfs authenticity (this function used only with Windows 2000/XP logged in as limited user)

They are installed at the following locations;*
98SE/Me: C:\Windows\system\iosubsys\cdrbsvsd.vxd
2000/XP: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\cdrbsvsd.sys

* based on Windows directory at c:\windows
