QUESTION
What is the deference between 'Video mode' and 'VR mode' shown on the DVD-RW disc format screen?

ANSWER

There are two points.

Play compatibility---Video mode has a better play compatibility than VR mode. Recorded in Video mode and finalized disc can be played on a player that supports 8cmDVD-RW disc. Recorded in VR mode disc can be played on a player that supports both 8cmDVD-RW disc and VR mode. Please refer to the camcorder manual for the detail.

Editing with the camcorder -- If you wish to edit the data using a camcorder, the data needs to be in VR mode. Editing function depends on the camcorder, please refer to the camcorder manual for the detail.
