Thanks to the energy-saving technology, it has reduced the device's typical electricity consumption (TEC)* against its previous model. (65cpm: 5.1kWh → 4.8kWh 80cpm: 6.5kWh → 6.2kWh) And it has equipped with RICOH’s unique human sensor which detects users coming to the device. Users can start key operation within only about 0.5 second from the sleep mode by touching the screen. Furthermore, it has employed reusable recycled plastic and steel for some parts that were recycled from the plastic container and home appliances. It contributes in reducing a variety of environmental impacts.

Despite being a high-speed color multifunction printer, thanks to its excellent energy-saving technology, the product conforms to the International ENERGY STAR Program, which is intended to promote the development and introduction of highly energy-efficient office equipment in order to address global environmental issues, such as global warming. The product is also equipped with a weekly timer function that allows the scheduling of power on and off times and shifting to sleep mode according to the day of the week and time of day. Setting the timer to turn the power on/off in advance makes it possible to control the machine's status to suit the work style.

Sustainable Product Enabling Earth-friendly office thanks to excellent environmental technology
The product uses a color QSU technology and low-melting-point PxP toner, thus achieving a typical electricity consumption (TEC) of 1.11 kWh*. Furthermore, power consumption during sleep mode is only 0.7 W. The start-up time is short, making it possible to start making copies immediately. In addition, the novel touch panel with excellent usability can display on the operation panel various eco indices, such as total print pages, usage rate of duplex printing, usage rate of combined printing, and paper reduction rate for each user and multifunction printer, as well as any messages from the manager. Visualizing the status of use promotes environmental impact reduction.

Using the fully environmentally conscious GELJET technology, low power consumption unachievable by the laser system has been realized. Since the machine's average operating power consumption is only about 28.8 W for color copying, or around the same as an electric bulb, it can be used where electricity consumption is restricted. Plastics from biomass resources, such as corn, are used for the body. The high biomass ratio significantly reduces CO2 emissions during the product life cycle. The product has also acquired Biomass Mark certification (Japan Organics Recycling Association).

The product conforms to the International ENERGY STAR Program, which is intended to promote the development and introduction of highly energy-efficient office equipment in order to address global environmental issues, such as global warming. The excellent energy-saving technology has reduced the machine's typical electricity consumption (TEC)*. In addition, we have developed and introduced ""electric furnace steel"" made of 100% iron scrap for multifunction printers. In an effort to establish a sustainable society, we are proactively promoting activities to minimize the amount of resources newly mined from the earth.

MP 305+ SPF Sustainable Product Ultra quiet and easy-to-use machine combined with energy-saving performance
Various noise reduction technologies that, for example, reduce the driving sound of motors and gears have been incorporated into the product and have achieved ultra quietness by eliminating discomforting sounds. The operation noise is reduced to about 56 dB (A) in the regular mode and about 53 dB (A) when the quiet mode is set. The product is also energy-saving, with power consumption during sleep mode as low as 0.78 W and a recovery time as short as 12 seconds, thus achieving a stress-free energy-saving performance. The use of LEDs for the operation panel and for reading a scanned document can reduce the typical electricity consumption (TEC)* to 1.25 kWh.
