Ricoh Asia Pacific Member Lectures on Sustainable Environmental Management and Eco-Friendly Offices
At the Facilities Management Conference held on June 26 at the Hilton Singapore Hotel, Ricoh Asia Pacific (RA) Regional Environmental Management Group assistant manager Masayo Hada presented a lecture on the basic thinking behind sustainable environmental management practices at Ricoh and on the “Eco Offices” being created by RA.
Held by the Asia Business Forum over a two-day period beginning June 25, the conference was attended by approximately 40 people from Singapore and surrounding countries.
Titled “Sustainable Environmental Management in Action - Developing an Eco Office,” the presentation gave examples of actual Ricoh environmental activities while covering Ricoh’s concept of sustainable environmental management and the process Ricoh followed in becoming the first private-sector company to earn Singapore’s “Green Office Label.”
The conference saw lively discussion centered on the key terms of “sustainability” and “eco-friendly.”
