Acquiring the Chinese Version of Eco Mark
On August 30, Ricoh acquired its first Technical Standard Certification for Environmental Declaration Products (commonly referred to as "Ten Circle"), which is the Chinese version of Eco Mark.
The certification was given to six products: four copy machines and two laser printers.
Ten Circle is the environmental label promoted by the State Environmental Protection Administration of China. To be certified, the quality, safety, emissions of contaminants, and noise generated by a product as well as the process control and implementation of green procurement at the plant where the product is manufactured and the establishment of a system to collect products at the sales department have to be examined.
To date, 700 companies and approximately 8,000 types of products have been certified.
The products that have been given Ten Circle certification are as follows.
•Copy machines: Aficio 2020, 2020D, 2015L, and 2015
•Laser printers: Aficio AP600 and AP600N
