Lanier Switzerland LTD Issues "Quality and Environment Report 2005"
Lanier Switzerland LTD, a sales company, issued its "Quality and Environment Report 2005" early in July, the third issue of this report.
The report aims to offer a wide variety of information on quality and environmental activities to customers and stakeholders. It includes various information on environment and quality activities, covering the company's visions and policies, outlines of its products and services, environment-friendly products, and recycling activities unique to the company.
In a unique activity, the "Eco-Drive Project" which started in 2002, the company shifted to diesel cars with special filters, while also preparing a drivers' course aiming at environment-friendly driving. This has resulted in a reduced environmental burden, lower fuel consumption, and lower fuel costs.
As a result of these activities, CO2 emissions, which reached 768 tons in 2001, decreased to 545 tons. Average fuel consumption also fell by 7% from the previous fiscal year and the company aims to reduce it by a further 5% this year.
