Ricoh Accredited as a Measuring and Testing Organization by BAM

Ricoh was accredited as a measuring and testing organization for mineral dust and gas emissions by Germany Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) on October 26, 2004.

In the past, this accreditation was given only to specialized testing institutions. Ricoh is the first manufacturer in the world to receive this accreditation and the world fifth organization to be so certified, following four specialized testing institutions, namely, LGA (Germany), WKI (Germany), AQS (U.S.A.), and BIA (Germany).

Ricoh is now certified to conduct its own product testinga procedure that was once done by measuring organizations in Germany or other countriesand use the resultant data in written applications.

In addition, this recognition will bring about a significant improvement in the efficiency of product development and that for acquiring the Blue Angel Mark.

Blue Angel Mark
The Blue Angel Mark is an environmental label promoted by Germany Federal Environmental Agency. Like ecolabels, the Blue Angel Mark can be put on products that satisfy certain standards and have little environmental burden.
