Does the MP8040SE support CD-TEXT?
The MP8040SE does not support this function, CD-TEXT.
A CD-R disc written by Direct CD 2.5 cannot be played back on the CD-ROM drive in another PC.
When such a disc is to be read by a standard CD-ROM drive, use the option to make compatibility with standard CD-ROM drives when ejecting CD-R disc from a CD-RW drive. This option is selectable on the menu of "Eject Disc" as "Organize the disc so that it can be read in a standard CD-ROM drive. By selecting this option the session is closed. In case ejecting as for Direct CD disc it is not closed the session, so the disc can read only under Direct CD.
A CD-RW disc written by Direct CD 2.5 cannot be read in a CD-ROM drive.
First, reading the RW disc requires a multi-read CD-ROM drive. Also reading the RW disc written by Direct CD requires Direct CD program or the UDF driver. This UDF driver is included into the install CD bundled with the unit.
Buffer under-run error occurs when creating Audio CDs in 4x speed, however it is possible to write CD-ROM data.
It is possible that the CD-ROM drive cannot extract digital audio data at 4x speed or higher. Using speed test software verify the speed at which the CD-ROM drive can extract audio data. Please try again writing the speed that the CD-ROM drive could extract enough.
Errors occur when making an audio CD from a CD-ROM, though it is successful in writing CD-ROM data.
The CD-ROM drive may not be capable of extracting digital audio data from an audio CD. Using the MP8040SE create wave files on the hard disk before writing. (Please refer to your software manual for details on how to create wave files.)
While playing the CD-R written audio tracks, the noises like snap or crackle appear.
It is possible to occur these noises cause of the programs like anti-virus. In such a case please try after uninstalling these programs.
While playing the CD-R written audio tracks, the noises like scratch, crunch or crack appear in the second half of the disk or after about 40 minutes.
In the case not using the recommend disc, it might be appears such a noise. So that please try using the disc that we recommend.
