Compaq DESKPRO ENL/P866 Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
Compaq DESKPRO 6450 Windows NT 4.0 Workstation

Under the PC abovementioned and pre-installed a utilities program 'Compaq Utilities' like Insight manager';
it was reported the writing software will not run just after installed the one.
On the case you may have to try reinstalling only the Windows OS without any utilities above.
 

IBM Aptiva E-21/31 series, E-17/27/47 series

Under the PC abovementioned and pre-installed the Windows 95;
It was reported the drive will not work.
With additional information reported, it got to work after new installing the Widows 98.
 

IBM Aptiva 243/273 series

Under the PC abovementioned and pre-installed from PC manufacturer;
It was reported the drive will not work.
With additional information reported, it got to work after changing the HD controller driver.
Which will require of the IDE driver, 'IDE3.56' at the ALi web site. With the IDE driver on IBM web site will not make it work.
 

IBM 300GL, PL, XL Windows NT 4.0 Workstation

Under the PC abovementioned, there may be a occasion it will not be able to format with a packet writing software.
This could depend on the HD controller driver, you will have to change a HD controller installed to the Standard HD controller provided from the OS.
 

The firmware revision for the MP7320A appears 'BPxx'. Is that correct?

It is correct.
The current firmware revision is found with following.

Windows 98/98SE/Me:
Control Panels - System - Device Manager - CD-ROM. Double click the CD-ROM, double click 'MP7320A', Settings tab.

Windows NT 4.0 Workstation/2000 Pro/XP:
The firmware revision could be found from the writing software. Most of the writing software will have an option for the recorder information.
