DVD/CD Drives FAQ for MP7060 series

 

Sometimes the PC hangs up while writing.

Check the chipset on your Motherboard. If the chipset is from VIA, disable the DMA setting. (Device Manager - CD-ROM - Properties of MP7060A/S - Settings tab)
 

Buffer under-run errors occur when creating Audio CDs with 6x speed, however it is possible to write CD-ROM data.

It is possible that the CD-ROM drive cannot extract digital audio data at 6x speed (1050kb/s) or higher. Using speed test software verify the speed at which the CD-ROM drive can extract audio data.
 

Errors occur when making an audio CD from a CD-ROM, though it is successful in writing CD-ROM data.

The CD-ROM drive may not be capable of extracting digital audio data from an audio CD. Using the MP7060A/S create *.wav files on the hard disk. (Refer to your software manual for details on how to create wave files.)
 

Performing 'test-mode-writing' with Windows 95 (OSR-1), the error message, 'ASPI error' appears on the screen immediately after the test.

Update the driver for the SCSI adapter to the latest version.
