Before updating the firmware, please read the instructions given in "Updating Methods" and "Detailed Explanation" , carefully. Ricoh will not take any responsibility for problems encountered if the instructions were not properly followed.

******* IMPORTANT *******

To use 16X DVD+R media with MP5308D, please upgrade the firmware to version 1.B5. 16x DVD+R media will not be recognised and be ejected if used with Version 1.B3.

Before Installing this download

  • The Flash Utility program confirms the model name of the target drive before firmware upgrade process. It is only possible to upgrade the firmware for a "RICOH MP5308D" drive.

  • For Windows
    We recommend that you upgrade firmware only after installing mastering software. You may upgrade firmware without installing mastering software, but if you can not complete the upgrade successfully, you should install mastering software first, and then upgrade the firmware.
    Confirmed Operation Systems to work the Flash Utility are Windows Me/2000/XP.
  • We will not be responsible for problems that are done for drives installed on any other systems.
