Before Installing this download

  • The RFlash program confirms the model name of the target drive before firmware upgrade process. It is only possible to upgrade the firmware for a "RICOH DVD+RW MP5240" drive.
    Before uploading the firmware, please check if the model number of your drive is same as the model number of the firmware you downloaded. You can see both in the RFlash program as follows.
    "Target Drive", red circle below, shows the model number of your drive.
    "Source File", blue circle below, shows the model number of the firmware downloaded.
    If the internal name differs, such as     "RICOH DVD+RW MP5240A," the RFlash program cannot upgrade the firmware.

  • For Windows
We recommend that you upgrade firmware only after installing mastering software. You may upgrade firmware without installing mastering software, but if you can not complete the upgrade successfully, you should install mastering software first, and then upgrade the firmware.

It is only possible to upgrade firmware on Windows 98/Me/2000 and XP.
  • We will not be responsible for problems that are done for drives installed on any other systems.
