Update method for AT Compatible machine
Upgrade Procedure
1.
Prepare one empty, formatted floppy disk.
2.
Copy the downloaded file to an empty directory, and run RWT240AV.EXE to extract the contents.
| 3. | Copy the files created in step 2. To the floppy disk.
This creates a Firmware Download disk. Running RWT240AV.EXE should create the following files: LDSDVE08.EXE/ PROG.DEF/ SA240803.BIN/ JHISTORY.TXT/ EHISTORY.TXT |
| 4. | The following hardware is required:
Host computer (PC-AT Compatible machine, OS : Windows95) |
| 5. | Connect the host computer to the MP6200A, then after making the following settings, start Windows95 on the host computer. |
6.
Confirm that the MP6200A is recognized in the host computer.
| 7. | Select [Start] - [Shut down] - [Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode], then make MS-DOS mode.

| 1) | Insert the Firmware Download floppy into the host computer FDD(Floppy Disk Drive). |
| 2) | Type "A:" and press the Enter key (if the host computer floppy drive is "A:"). |
| 3) | Type "LDADVE03" and press Enter. |
| 4) | After executing step 3), the following message appears. |
CD-R Drive Firmware Update Program for DOS/V Ver.3.00 Copy right (C)RICOH Co., Ltd. 1996, 1997 Checking the drive... DEVICE ID : 0 Cannot find the device. DEVICE ID : 1 Cannot find the device. DEVICE ID : 2 Drive is "RICOH MP6200A" DEVICE ID : 3 Cannot find the device. Change update-mode... Current flash ROM date is : : Rewriting the program. This program rewrites the firmware of the CD-R drive. There is not further warning... Are you sure? Hit any key. (Cancel = ESC key) |
5) Downloading of the new firmware is executed by pressing "Enter".

6) Several seconds after step 5) message appears, the following message is displayed if the process was
successful.
Firmware update completed.
7) When you start up host computer again, the firmware download procedure is completed.
Download of a firmware is an end above.
NOTE-
If the firmware download does not complete correctly, turn off the host computer power and attach jumpers as below, then execute again.
