Information about Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2

This page provides our test reports on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
Items tested are:

If a Ricoh drive is recognized under Windows XP SP2.
If a Ricoh drive reads CD-ROM discs, DVD-ROM discs (DVD-read capable models only).
If a Ricoh drive writes data on a CD-R/CD-RW disc using the Windows XP Standard CD-RW writing function.

*	The following table is based on our own tests and is provided simply as a piece of information. It does not mean all cases are guaranteed to work well.

*	Be sure to check the information available from Microsoft.
*	In order to use the bundled software, the software must support Windows XP SP 2. Be sure to check the compatibility information from each software supplier. Or if your software does not support Windows XP SP 2, please purchase another writing software program that supports both your operating system and your Ricoh drive. MP9200A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. Also, refer here.
MP9120A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP9060A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.

MP7200A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7125A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7120A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7083A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7063A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP8040SE	Partially passed	Test 1, 2 were passed. But Test 4 (the XP writing function) was not passed. A Ricoh PCMCIA SCSI card in CardBus mode and the card driver for Windows 2000 was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7060A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7060S	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used.*1 The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7040A	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used. The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.
MP7040S	OK	The Standard DVD/CD-ROM driver built into the Windows operating system was used.*1 The version of bundled software for the Asian retail model is not compatible with Windows XP.

Partially passed: Qualified compatible.

*1 An AHA-2940AU SCSI card from Adaptec was used.
