Ricoh Human Creates Co., Ltd. / Japan
Ricoh Human Creates Co., Ltd. (RHC), which promotes human capital development as its core business, has sign language groups at each workplace to enable those with and without hearing ability to work together, a rare situation in Japan. Since 2003, the sign language groups have accepted students from the Sign Language Department of the College of the National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, twice a year. Students commented that they learned a lot from their practical experiences of sign language interpretation at Ricoh. RHC will further improve its training program content in the future.
