Ricoh/NRG Belgium S.A., a sales subsidiary, supports Child Focus' activities in accordance with its social contribution policies. Child Focus was established in Belgium in 1997 to help children who have been victims of child abuse, which has become a big social problem in Europe. At present, the organization is expanding its activities on national and international levels.
Ricoh/NRG Belgium learned about Child Focus through making posters to search for missing children, and its employees have been involved in the program since January 2007. Employees participating in this program first receive education on how to prevent child abuse and then visit elementary schools to talk to children and hold children picture contests. A total of thirty employees have visited thirty schools and communicated with 2,500 children so far. In addition, people in the office have sold toys at in-house charity events and donated 1,865 euros.
All these activities are reviewed in detail together with photos in their Annual Sustainability Report issued to employees. Participation in Child Focus activities is also greatly valued by employees, and who plan to continue these activities in future.
