Mar. 2000 Construction of Ohmori Office completed as developmental base for imaging technology.

Apr. 2000 Awarded the Keidanren Chairman's Prize at the 9th Global Environmental Awards.The Ricoh Group Environmental Report 1999 wins Best Report.

Jan. 2001 Strengthened sales by making a subsidiary of Lanier Worldwide, Inc. (headquarters: Atlanta), an OA equipment marketing company in the U.S.

Feb. 2001 Received Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for the advanced environmental friendliness of the imagio Neo 350 series.


Dec. 2001 Received the "Climate Is Business" Award from the European Business Council and U.S. Business Council for the company's contributions to global warming prevention.

Jan. 2002 Ricoh's multifunctional "imagio Neo 220/270 Series" received the Energy Conservation Center Chairman's Prize for energy conservation.

Jan. 2002 Shanghai Ricoh Facsimile Co.,Ltd. achieved cumulative facsimile machine production totaling 1,000,000 units.

Feb. 2002 Received the "7th Disclosure Award for Listed Companies" by the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Jun. 2002 Ranked first in world for corporate responsibility rating by Oekom Research AG of Germany.

Jul. 2002 Received first J.D. Power and Associates Award for office automation at Lanier Worldwide, Inc. of the US.

Jul. 2002 Participated in United Nations (UN) Global Compact.

Jan. 2003 Ricoh China Co., Ltd. established in Shanghai as a top China management company.

Apr. 2003 President Sakurai honored with CBE.

May 2003 Ricoh Group received Gold Medal from World Environment Center (WEC).

Feb. 2004 Software research and development subsidiary Ricoh Software Research Center (Beijing) Co.,Ltd. established.

Jun. 2004 Shanghai Ricoh Digital Equipment Co.,Ltd. established.

Oct. 2004 Ricoh Printing Systems, Ltd. (former Hitachi Printing Solutions, Ltd.) joined the Ricoh group, contributing valuable printing technology.

Jan. 2005 Established Ricoh Software Inc., consolidating five domestic software R&D subsidiaries.

Mar. 2005 Given an environmental rating of AAA by Tohmatsu Evaluation and Certification Organization.

Jul. 2005 Rated first om the world by Oekom Research AG, a German CSR rating firm.
