Ricoh's QSU technology is awarded very high rating for its environment-friendly power saving features both domestically and internationally. It is Ricoh's simulation technology that played very important role in various stages of the development. For example, the thermal conduction simulator was used to design innovative ultra-thin fusing roller and to examine "Right amount of heat at the right time" heat supply system.
Another useful tool is the paper transport simulator. This was used for designing smoother transport mechanism to reduce waste papers.
Ricoh's simulation technology enables us to quantify the environmental impact caused by our equipment during the course of designing and prototyping, thus contributing a great deal to development of more environment-friendly products. The technology also helps to shorten the time to the market substantially.
