Ricoh Women’s British Open

Ricoh to sponsor one of the world’s four Majors in Women's Golf


It is with great pleasure to announce Ricoh as the title sponsor for this year’s prestigious Women’s British Open. Boasting the most international field of any women's golf event, the 2007 Women’s British Open will be played over the wonderful Old Course at St. Andrews, 2nd – 5th August. With a prize fund of over £1 million, the championship promises to be one of the highlights on the 2007 sporting calendar.

The Women’s British Open was established by the Ladies’ Golf Union in 1976, and was designated as one of the four major championships in 2001. The tournament will become the first championship for female professionals to be played at the Old Course at St. Andrews, the Home of Golf. This sponsorship underpins Ricoh’s commitment to support ’green’, non-polluting sports.
