Ricoh Europe Supply Chain Management (RESCM), our central European warehouse and distribution center, has invited local educational institutions to its Christmas card competition every year since 2004. The competition aims to specifically support handicapped children. The Christmas cards designed by children are displayed in the office and the best three cards are selected by an employee vote. RESCM sends the selected Christmas cards to customers, business contracts and suppliers. In addition, each of the participating children receives 25 printed copies of the card they designed, while the institutions are presented with printers, digital cameras, etc. This program, which makes good use of Ricoh's distinctive qualities, is greatly appreciated by the local community as well, and RESCM plans to maintain the program in cooperation with various educational institutions.
