USB2.0-Flash Memory Card Controller LSI R5U880

R5U880 Specifications
The R5U880 is a USB2.0-Card controller that integrates USB2.0 Transceiver, SIE, CPU, FET Switch and Flash Memory Card access into a single chip.
The R5U880 supports most Flash Memory Cards currently available in the market. Therefore, the R5U880 allows flexibility for system to interface with multiple Flash Memory Cards. Ricoh’s hardware and firmware can drastically reduce the power consumption during suspend mode.

Power Supply Voltage: 3.3V±0.3V
Operating Ambient Temperature Range: 0~70°C
Low Power Consumption
Ricoh’s proprietary APS (Auto Power Save) enables the reduction of power consumption.
Ricoh’s driver for USB selective suspend has an additional advantage to reduce power consumption.
Internal Regulator & Power-Switch
Integrated regulator allows 3.3V single power operation.
The integrated MOSFET switch with the short circuit protection allows direct power control for all Flash Memory card and BOM (bill of material) cost reduction.
Internal PLL
The optimum frequency for each media, supplied by an internal PLL, provides a high-performance.
12 or 48 MHz crystal oscillator is users selectable.
Using the external source clock allows the reductions of BOM (Bills Of Materials) costs.
Small Package
Small 48-pin QFN package provides space saving feature.
The R5U880 is ideal for devices that require miniaturization.
